The mind does not need to be trained, no matter what anyone says about that. Even the essential nature of what the Buddha discovered was his own formlessness. That is the essential nature of realization. – All the rest is concepts and postponements for the mind. . .

All there is, is being – seeing – knowing.

These three aspects to what you are, being, seeing, knowing, and they are not different ‘things’ – they are one and the same, yet they are No Thing.

There is no story line being pushed onto you here. -No deliverance. No learning ‘how’ to be enlightened – all such things are contrived nonsense, promoted by the ignorant.

The realization is always right here, right now. – There is NO other time than THIS. . .

Adding concepts to THIS can never bring some new freedom in some future time, no matter how sacred or how profound they may appear to be (from the point of view of the mind).

Methods are only momentary appearances – when they are indulged in, they imprison a fictional character (me) like a donkey on a treadmill. – The ‘carrot’ – the enticement – future deliverance is held just beyond reach (in time) and it can never become anything truly nourishing because it is only a story, a image in the mind like a mirage.

You probably imagine that someone else is awake – more awake than you – and that you want to be wide awake like them.

All of it is imagination and it is that imagination which seemingly covers the FACT that you are already what you seek – you are nothing but this immediate wakefulness, which is always naked and Ever Present. . .Are you unaware right now?   So what awakening is required.

Recognize that you have taken on board some second hand information and have added some ‘personal imagery’ to it.  And you have been seeking that image – how could you possibly find it, except as an image in your own mind?

In this clear ‘space-like awareness’, in this presence of now, there is no doubt and no time – even the obvious empty space itself is being cognized clearly and precisely – without any error whatsoever. – It takes ‘time’ to find any fault in that and that ‘finding fault’ is only habitual mind. . .

Yet all this is an appearance only.    The seeing through the eyes is an appearance.   The activity of seeing is prior to seeing through the eyes.  It is not limited to the eyes.   The eyes are a pattern of the manifestation, a mere instrument of seeing…..just like the rest of the body.   Without the life force the body is a corpse.     So it is the life force that is seeing, hearing, tasting and moving.

An imaginary life of  a ‘me’ is full of all kinds of ‘things’, fluctuating states of mind, with all its fears and desires – and they are the apparent vehicles of pleasure and pain – and the suffering is only for the believed in ‘entity’.  You were never that.   it was not there when you were 2 years old.

All such things lead to nowhere at all – they never move away from THIS moment.

People fall over each other trying to rub shoulders with teachers and gurus who promise all kinds of impossible things in the future. Promises of a future deliverance and methods on how to live an enlightened life. All based on some vague experiences and second hand concepts. The immediate ‘truth’ is always immediate and it is not locked into any time realms – or into any mind, yours or anyone elses. Those who profess to have acquired any special state of mind, a state that they can transmit to seekers, is just spiritual nonsense. It is a gross misunderstanding. However that kind of thing is very popular. It is a ‘belief system’ and it is all about BECOMING. The fact is that there is no becoming in BEING.

Being IS right NOW. it is always right NOW – and right now is all there ever is.

Realizing this immediate being-ness, (one could say) is reality breaking through the illusion of belief. No one acquires anything in this immediate actuality.

Reality is not something that can be delineated or captured by any concepts. it is not a thing or object, nor is it a subject. Words and concepts can only ever point at what is either true or false. Belief in anything is merely a belief.

Belief is NOT the actual. Any word is a pointer. The word ‘water’ points at the substance called H2O. The entire manifestation is an appearance of elements playing about, appearing to be. (Science tells us the following) Break them down into finer particles and they are found to be energy, a movement in space. Break them down further and they are found to be nothing but space.

So where do ‘you’ enter into this play of elements.

The life force that animates the body and the mind is basically the same energy that ‘creates’ the entire manifestation (appearance).

The most intimate experiencing is a silent openness, a clear space, where this life force is sensed totally without a concept to divide it.

Some call it ‘I am-ness’, or this sense of presence.

If the mind is brought to a stillness in being, a recognition ‘happens’. It cannot be described. No words can ever truly capture or convey it.

You can only BE that – and you are that.

Confirmation happens all by itself.

Everything appears in the seeing. Seeing does not go out from your eyes and grasp objects, then return with information. Seeing is everywhere and every thing. No separation. If you can grasp that ‘truth’ many erroneous ideas will fall away instantly.

How many clouds have there been in the sky? Do any of them have any distinct and lasting characteristics as a separate entity? Trillions upon trillions of clouds have gathered and swirled around, dropped their rain, hail, sleet and snow, and then dissolved back into the empty sky. Millions are forming right now and millions are also dissolving.

Not one cloud has left a trace of itself anywhere – no cloud is stuck to the sky. No thought is stuck in the mind. There are billions of microbes in and on your body and they outnumber the cells of the body by far. Who are you? Who is running this ’show’?

‘We’ think we are so important but even something like the weather can put us in our place so easily……… we run, we hide, take cover, then we re-emerge and start our arrogant behavior all over again.

Who are we?   A small bug can wipe out thousands of us completely off the scene within a few days.

The tragedy of it all is that it is self-centered activities and  self importance which ’causes’ all the suffering ………and so few are willing to look at those factors with any precision.

Who cares?

Whatever you perceive ‘out there’ is actually ‘in there’ (which can only be ‘here’).

Yet there is no inside nor any outside. Just this presence, unbound and obviously clear.

In fact there is no ‘there’ and to see this clearly, walk over ‘there’ and see that it is actually HERE.

There is no center and no boundary.
Identity and Boundary are the corner stones of a castle made of dreams.

The apparent demonstration of an ‘ego here’ is pedagogical.
If you cannot see your own ego tendencies, then the ‘other’ will show you it by the response that comes in the guise of a reaction.

The Clarity here cannot be shared – because it is already everywhere. To imply that I or anyone else can offer anything apart from simple pointing would be delusional on ‘my part’ or ‘their part’.
I don’t have any parts and I know what I am.

I cannot say what I am but this knowing is clear and obvious.

In THAT, everything appears.

Albert Einstein wrote:

“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.”

Who does not understand? Everything is clear and obvious just as it is. Belief in ANY thought as being something that is separate and having some substance of its own is delusional – yet very common.

The One appears AS everything – there is nothing Wrong anywhere…….except thought makes it appear to be so.

The basic error is the belief in a self-center that actually, ACTUALLY has NO substance whatsoever. If you investigate this single FACT, the delusions of being separate disappears forever – BECAUSE it never actually existed in the first instant, and this first instant is NOW.
The erroneous belief in ‘me’ can NEVER be believed in again…………….and this SEEING is always NOW.

The witness is just a thought – The mind translates pure seeing into the words ‘I see’. And the thought ‘I see’ cannot, CANNOT see. Knowing that is all you need to know. That is true understanding, and it can NEVER be taken away from what you ARE, because it IS what you ARE.

There is ONLY ONE seeing happening. There is NO ‘maybe’ about it. There are not two eyes seeing. The MIND divides this one seeing-knowing activity into multiple perceptions of ‘things’ and states of being and into imaginary concepts about lacking. Casting oneself out of the ease and simplicity of what is simple and uncomplicated, ‘we’ jump upon a series of beliefs that appear to take us on a journey to something better. There is NO answer in the mind. There is no point in wandering about in the mind hoping to find an answer. You actually cannot ‘step out’ of this presence of now. You never did and you never will.
This blindingly obvious fact is ignored – in a preference for some insubstantial belief in second hand concepts, that SEEM to be a better or higher ‘place’ to be.
There is only one place to BE and that is HERE, NOW.
You cannot BE anywhere else, in FACT.

Mind is not dangerous – it is not the enemy. If you go down that path, all that waits for you is madness. All the mind needs is understanding. Understand the mind and it will serve you well.
Internal conflict is due to misunderstanding.

We may sense the pain in others and we may wish to ease the pain in others. But the problem is closer to ‘home’.

The ’cause’ for psychological pain is belief in something that does not exist. If you have a broken bone, you can pin point the pain spot. Psychological pain does not have a ‘location’, a spot, and if you explore that apparent spot consciously, it is naturally seen through. The energy that WAS going into belief is retained by the seeing….and since nothing can exist without energy, the psychological projection dissolves naturally. Seeing that ‘it’ is not real NOW eliminates the past belief in it…………so NOW, how can one ever believe in it again? NOW is all there is.

It may catch you out briefly……..for awhile but since you have already seen through it………..it can’t really keep you under the spell.

Many insist that a practice is necessary.  A practice may appear to be useful for a short time but it need not be made into a God.

There is no need of any practice – because this moment is fresh and new.  To impose a practice can only come from the mind, which is time.
The imposition of the past on the present is not liberation – it is bondage for the one who imagines that it is making a practice.
All practice is a fiction, neither true nor false. It is in the mind.
The one who imagine that it will get MORE or change what IS, is a deluded sense of me. There are no two ways about it.
The conditioning which is culture, cannot escape from its own limitations. The ONLY way out is to SEE that you were NEVER in it. Not being in it, where is the need to get out of it?

As long as you worship any ‘other’ (person, thing, guru, teacher, teaching or path) you will be bound by illusion.
The mirror does not worship what appears in it.
There is no awareness of awareness.
There is ONLY awareness – it is Self-Aware.
THAT is ALL inclusive.
Everyone that you meet, see photos of, or read about are nothing but appearances in THAT.
You are THAT.
Whatever the mind tells you about THAT, is all conceptualizing and that is also THAT.

Gratitude is a transient appearance in the ever flowing changeful nature of the expression of the One – LOVE of being is a subtle pulse of this clear presence – this basic ‘I am-ness’ – without any need of a past, present or future.
Can’t say it is anything other than what it is.

Understanding is silent and wordless – recognition of one’s true nature is silent and wordless.

The pure seeing is not identified with anything and can never be identified with anything or nothing. Seeing is seeing. everything appears in the seeing. That should be plainly obvious and it is plainly obvious, if you drop all words and concepts about the seeing.

The mind is nothing but thought, conceptualizations, memory and images. A thought cannot SEE. This point is often missed. Dividing the mind up into ‘parts’ is actually only more conceptualizing.

Ramesh Balsekar suggested the concept of the ‘working mind’, which merely implies that there is someone there ‘working’ or that it is simply a mechanical processor. It may appear to be a useful concept but it really is unnecessary to divide the mind, since mind is just thoughts, basically. Creating a fixation in the mind is counter to what is being point to. Naked seeing-knowing is not an entity.

What needs to be recognized is that there is only one seeing happening. The ‘mind’ cannot see. The mind translates, that is all it does. It labels ‘things’ and the labels are words. Each word was learned ‘in the past’. So, we use the past to translate the immediate present and so a fabrication is constructed and that veil seemingly obscures clear awareness through belief in the construct of words, memories etc.

There is nothing to gain and nothing to lose. Seeing through the words is easy. Dropping the belief appears to be hard. Why? Because I take myself to be that self-image called ‘me’. Investigate it and SEE that it has no substance and no independence apart from this Immediate cognition (cogniz-ing) that is happening NOW. This has been explained so many times, over and over.

What is missing, so it seems, is the seeing through, the recognition of one’s true nature. But how can it be missing? ecause seeing is happening now. What the mind translates the seeing into it where the problem is – and the central figure is ‘me’.

The missing letter ‘b’ in the previous lines registered in the seeing……recognized immediately and the mind may even fill in the missing letter without any problem.  In that instant seeing, memory and an adjustment take place.  Can you divide that ‘happening’?  Does it need to be pulled apart by the intellect?  Isn’t it understood before any analysis?

Seeing is NOT in TIME. The mind is time – so there is no point in looking in the mind for an answer to this. Seeing is happening. See if you can find a ‘seer’ or a ‘thinker’. That investigation will show what needs to be recognized or noticed.

Without words, where is time and story?

Every story begins with “Once upon a time………” Memory only lives in the immediacy.

Turn away from memory and what is left?

What past is there without words or thought?

Some may dismiss this as sheer nonsense but if you really drop all thoughts and cease from referring to memory – all that is left is naked wakefulness.

How difficult is that? Yet many Masters tell us that it will take many life times to get beyond the mind and the conditioning.

The so-called great enlightenment is right here. The resistance is called ‘me’. Shine a light on that and SEE that it has no substance or independent existence and the whole fabrication falls apart…..leaving you as you are – present and aware – with nowhere to go and nothing to get.

The same energy appears as a seeker and as a so-called realized one. The relative forms appear to be different but the immediate energy vibrating into those apparently different patterns is the SAME immediate energy. ONE, without a second.

The pattern of energy cannot see or realize anything just as the idea of self cannot see or do anything without that life force pulsing through it.

A corpse has all the instruments, eyes, ears, brain, arms, legs etc.  The corpse cannot see, hear, think, touch or walk.

What is missing? The animating life essence. So, what is seeing, hearing, thinking, touching and walking?

The Life Essence and there is ONLY ONE.

You are THAT.

How could you be anything other then THAT?

All words fall short naturally because they are nothing but an expression of THAT, which remains un-diversified, un-mediated and for ever present.

Doubt is nothing but a thought.

An insight into one’s own true nature can happen at any time and in any circumstances, whether they be deemed positive or negative by the mind. Energy is neither positive nor negative. When the mind collapses into silence, SEEING-KNOWING remains as THAT singular Essence, which is expressed through the mind as the words ‘I am’. You cannot negate that BEINGNESS, and THAT is all there ever IS. Even the appearance of things is THAT.

There is no pattern of energy that is aware of anything, without that life essence that animates it. Belief cannot stand up to an investigation, so long as it is complete and ruthless. Belief is not the actual. The actuality is this immediate life just as it is. Wanting to alter or change it is ‘of the mind’ and the mind appears to have an agenda and at the core of that agenda is a false identity commonly called ‘me’.

There is only one LIFE. Any impression of this immediate LIFE can cut through the habits of mind and free it from the fictional bondage of self. Believing that only certain ‘methods’ can work or that some ‘personal god image’ will help you is delusional. The symbol of Adam and Eve being tossed out of Paradise is a telling symbolism. And much later Jesus said “the kingdom of God is in your midst – but you see it not.” So the kingdom is here now. What prevents you from recognizing it is belief in thoughts that you take to be your own. Investigate and see if you can actually find a THINKER. This is a key to the whole illusion of separateness. In the appearance ‘few’ will make this investigation.

In the stories from ancient times, out of hundreds of so called individuals, ONLY ONE, Moses, went up the mountain to have communion with the Clarity of Being (God).  A burning bush spoke to Moses – another highly symbolic image.  Find the spark of this life force in yourself and be attentive to it.  It will reveal everything as it IS.

Trying to be what you are not makes you unhappy.  Being what you are is effortless and in its simplest expression is happiness.  Telling someone not to worry rarely brings any relief. AS intelligence itself, one must go to the ’cause’ of the worrying and expose the central figure, SEE it for what it is, which is a fixation, a reference point that is INVALID.   Such directives are instantly confronting to those who cling to a false identity, so they resist the directive.  Those who follow it find that they were NEVER an entity at any time.

Discovering, or more accurately re-discovering one’s true nature is ‘something’ beyond all imagination and yet so simple and uncomplicated. Having overlooked it for decades through the grasping notions of seeking it, in all the wrong places, a tremendous relief spreads throughout being in one instant of recognition.  What the grasping mind ‘does’ with such an insight determines whether the insight disappears into the past as a memory or whether it stays as this natural SEEING PRESENCE of I AM.
