Consensus Reality is a fiction

It has been demonstrated many times in ‘my life’ that if I start speaking clearly and precisely (about this ‘stuff’) amongst ‘ordinary folk’ in a social situation, one by one they will all leave the room – make their excuses, and go away as quickly as possible. If they cannot leave for one reason or another they will band together and make verbal attacks in an attempt to discredit this apparent ‘me’ here. The belief in ‘me’ is common. 99.9999999% believe, without question, in the ‘me sense’.

This radical and cutting ‘knowledge’ cannot be forced onto anyone with any success. Such activities lead to blood being spilled.

Those who gravitate to it, do so, not by any choice of their own. It appears that a certain ‘willingness’ to explore must be present. I am no missionary nor am I an agent for any spiritual tradition.

As Popeye the sailor man said: (I yam what I yam) “I am what I am”.

The following notes are ‘sharp pointers’. Proceed with caution, if you want to hang onto the belief in me.

P.S. Eleven years ago the double doors to the Temple of Me began to disintegrate. They hung on their hinges for a while longer. The dust of their remains blew away with the winds of brief time, never to return – and the Temple was transformed into this natural openness which pervades the universe.

Temenos.

Ha ha – I like the way Popeye is sneaked in! Thanks for all the blog posts, I’ve been reading through them, just for fun, and have enjoyed the experience.

I would like to say…This is so true. I never bring up this topic with anyone. It only ever arises when the discussion of God comes up and people ask of my beliefs or opinions. People’s reactions vary from disgust, ridicule to accusing me of joking or not being serious.
It doesn’t matter as this is only something that one can observe themselves. On a conceptual level it has no personal resonance. Only through examination and experience does it hit home. I would bet that many of those who come to this realization do so without having read or heard the descriptive pointers elsewhere.
